| Subject | Prosthodontics |
| Description | Although the adult population of the UK are increasingly retaining their natural teeth and predictions from the Adult Dental Health Survey 1998 indicate that the number of adults with no teeth will fall to 5% by 2018, the demand for removable partial and complete dentures is still significantly high due mainly to increasing expectations of patients particularly in terms of function and aesthetics. It is therefore, essential that general dental practitioners have a comprehensive knowledge of removable prosthodontics, in order to provide a high level of patient care. |
