AvailabilityCourse has taken place
SubjectProsthodontics
DescriptionAlthough the adult population of the UK are increasingly retaining their natural teeth and predictions from the Adult Dental Health Survey 1998 indicate that the number of adults with no teeth will fall to 5% by 2018, the demand for removable partial and complete dentures is still significantly high due mainly to increasing expectations of patients particularly in terms of function and aesthetics. It is therefore, essential that general dental practitioners have a comprehensive knowledge of removable prosthodontics, in order to provide a high level of patient care.
Additional informationPart 1 of this multipart clinically oriented course will address the following:
• Advantages and disadvantages of removable partial dentures
• Principles of design
• Case assessment
• Problem solving
• Planning and application of compensating measures.

This training can be used as part of practice evidence to demonstrate compliance with some of the areas in the following CQC outcomes 11, 12, 13, and 14.

This course is for: Dentists, Clinical Dental Technicians and Dental Technicians.
