DescriptionA good staff appraisal scheme can help deal with poor performance, reward good performance and increase motivation. The scheme should be simple to implement and allow everyone the opportunity to review their work honestly. Feedback provides staff with information about what they are valued for and what they can improve on. Team leaders and managers can better plan for the future when they understand the unique skills and experiences each person brings to their job. People are the most valuable asset an organisation has, and providing the right support and development opportunities is critical to the success of the business.

• The role and contribution of employees
• How to give and receive constructive feedback
• How to reflect on what has gone well and what could be better
• How to motivate team members and set objectives
• Handling tricky appraisals
• Having difficult appraisal conversations

Attending this course will also help dental practice staff to achieve compliance against all CQC Outcomes and in particular Outcome 14: Supporting workers. People are kept safe, and their health and welfare needs are met because staff are competent to carry out their work and are properly trained, supervised and appraised.

Lil Niddrie joined Denplan in 1993 and has worked in many areas of the company to support dental practices. Her wealth of knowledge and experience enables her to deliver a wide range of training courses.

Lil has a BA degree in Social Anthropology and is a Clinical Hypnotherapist. She has a specialist interest in advanced communication skills and personal development.
