DescriptionThis course is one of a number of courses designed to provide an introduction to NHS dentistry, essential for dentists who are undertaking vocational training by assessment, to dentists who are new to NHS dentistry and for those who are returning to NHS dental practice.
Additional informationThis course will assist delegates to produce supporting evidence for CQC outcomes 1ABCDE, 6A, 12, 13, 14, 16AB & 21AB.
This course will cover:
•The structure of the NHS, Commissioning dental services and NHS Rules and regulations and guidance.
•The NHS Dental Contract and the provider/performer responsibilities towards delivery.
•The NHS banding systems and the process to transmit correct NHS claims.
•An approach to Diagnosis and Treatment Planning in general dental practice including IOTN.
•How to maintain correct records in relation to the NHS and Private courses of treatments (Record Keeping)
•The Dentists responsibility to their NHS Patients.
