Aims
  1. To update DCP’s in radiography and radiation protection, for optimum patient safety. Recognise film faults and know how to prevent them.
  2. Understand their role within IRR 1999 and IR(ME)R 2000. Understand the role of Employers, Referrers, Practitioners and Operators
  3. To provide an update on legal and ethical issues in relation to the GDC guidelines. Discuss the difference between implied and expressed consent and how to raise concerns.
  4. Delegates will be able to act and adhere to GDC guidelines and feel confident in their ability to work within the law.
