DescriptionThis course is an update on Medical Emergencies in the Dental Surgery. This is based on the wider subject of medical emergencies as included in the GDC "core subjects" for CPD/CQC outcomes. This lecture style afternoon will cover subjects such as:
Additional informationAsthma, Anaphylaxis, Choking, Hypo/Hyperglycaemia, Epilepsy, Myocardial Infarction, Angina
Delegates are reminded that every registrant with the GDC, or any member of the Dental Team, should also undergo practical training in first aid and basic life support annually in oder to comply with Health and Safety First Aid Regulations 1981.

Attending this course will also provide evidence to demonstrate compliance with some of the requirements of CQC outcome 4: care nad welfare of people who use services, CQC outcome 9: management of medicines, CQC outcome 10: safety and suitability of premises, CQC outcome 11: safety, availability and suitability of equipment, CQC outcome 12: requirements relating to workers CQC outcome 13: staffing
