Periodontics - Treatment Planning - Module 2 (BA170212)

AvailabilityCourse has taken place
SubjectPeriodontics
DescriptionThis module picks up from Module 1 and looks at the principles of periodontal treatment planning.
Additional informationThe initial summary of Module 1 is followed by a series of mini presentations interspersed with discussions on case histories and short practical sessions. Topics on this day will include a logical approach to periodontal treatment planning, the importance of self-performed plaque control and how to motivate patients to clean better. There will be practical sessions on the best oral hygiene methods to use (be prepared to clean your own teeth!) and clinical photography demystified (it's cheap and easy!). We’ll then discuss the stages and timing of rational periodontal treatment planning, as well as the range of treatment options available, using our Treatment Options Flowchart which has been developed over the last few years.

The course should enable participants to:
Instruct patients in oral hygiene effectively.
Take high quality clinical images.
Treatment plan periodontal care logically.
Discuss periodontal care with patients.

This course is suitable for GDPs and Hygienists
