  1. Identification of the individual at risk of cardio-respiratory arrest.
  2. The provision of appropriate, effective adult basic life support.
  3. Management of the airway using simple techniques and adjuncts.
  4. Effective ventilation using a pocket mask and self-inflating bag/valve/mask.
  5. Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator.
