DescriptionThis course is one of a number of courses designed to provide an introduction to NHS dentistry, essential for dentists who are undertaking vocational training by assessment.
Additional informationThe course is also suitable for dentists who are new to the NHS, dentists who are returning to NHS dental practice.or dentists otherwise participating in the Southampton “Introduction to the NHS” series of Postgraduate meetings.

A one day course presented by Hampshire Dental Practice Advisor Verna Easterby-Smith, reviewing and updating Clinical Governance requirements, and illustrating methods by which practices can demonstrate they compliance.

The second part of the day features Ruth Evans, Consultant Orthodontist at Southampton General Hospital. This section will describe the IOTN system for assessing malocclusion, and describe how practitioners should use it to guide their decisions on patient referrals.
