Aims
  1. •Associate Agreements This will concentrate on the importance of having a written contract; the basic terms that should be included in an Associate contract and the implications of certain clauses, especially those relating to finances. The talk will also elaborate on certain common issues that cause dispute, including calculation and retention of fees; and examples of case studies
  2. •Continuing Professional Development & Recertification Do you know what the CPD requirements are? What is verifiable CPD activity? This talk will help to take away the mystery of CPD and provide you with guidance on what is required to keep you on the register. We will also provide you with information on how to deal with CPD if you take a career break and how to choose the right courses and events to meet your CPD requirements
  3. •Is able to explain in appropriate detail the actions available to be taken with regard to incompetence, impairment or unethical behaviour from colleagues.
  4. •The definitions of the legal & ethical obligations of a dental practitioner and the definition of fitness to practice according to the GDC.
