Aims | Pre-formed Metal Crowns 1 To provide an update on the use of pre-formed metal crowns in children. 2 To know which cases and scenarios they should be used in. 3 To gain hands-on experience of the placement of stainless steel crowns in the deciduous dentition.
Fractured Incisor Teeth 1 To understand how to deal with a fractured incisor in an emergency. 2 Appropriate techniques for primary teeth extraction. | ||
Learning outcomes | Pre-Formed Metal Crowns 1 Feel more confident about managing children with gross caries in the deciduous dentition that require a pre-formed metal crown. 2 Be able to justify the Hall technique and to be able to place a pre-formed metal crown on a suitable tooth. 3 Identify clinical situations when further intervention is required and how to carry this out before placement of a pre-formed metal crown.
Fractured Incisor Teeth 1 Feel more confident about managing patients with incisal enamel and dentine fractures. 2 Discuss any complications associated with extraction of primary teeth. | ||
