•Recognise, manage, (and where required, provide) basic and immediate life support for medical emergencies, in line with guidelines from the UK Resuscitation Council.

•Provides treatment for all patients with courtesy and respect, provides treatment options that are sensitive to the needs of the patient, and recognises the patients’ right to choose.

•Regularly reviews the outcomes of treatment given in an effort to provide the highest standards of patient care, and understands the importance of clinical audit and its regular implementation.
- •Provides relevant and appropriate preventive education for each patient in a manner that he / she can understand.
•Provides accurate costings for treatment and can explain a cost / benefit analysis.
•The signs of abuse or neglect in vulnerable groups, and the local procedures that should be followed when reporting such circumstances.
