  1. To understand how PCT Practice visits operate, and what you need to do to prepare for them. To understand what policies and procedures every practice must have in place with respect to Clinical Governance, Health and Safety and Radiation Protection.
  2. To understand the NHS complaints procedure : •What policies and procedures you must have in place •how to operate a system that works for your practice and your patients •What records have to be kept
  3. Appraisals and PDPs : •How to produce them •Who else in the practice is involved •What processes and documentation you must have in place.
  4. To understand the law relating to Staff interviews : •How to conduct them fairly oselect the right candidate ostay within the law oand record what you have to.
  5. Staff Management: The practice managers role in training and disciplinary proceedings – to understand what to do and what records to keep.
