Aims
  1. Define disinfection and decontamination, be effective in our procedures and implement the HTM 0105
  2. Comprehend the basic requirements for good decontamination and discuss the disinfection and decontamination of the environment and everyday patient equipment
  3. Appreciate the roles of single use items and know how to use an ultrasonic bath and autoclave safely & effectively.
  4. Be able to demonstrate ‘zoning techniques’ and effective hand washing and decontamination techniques within the surgery
