  1. To understand current clinical governance requirements that relate to Standards for Better Health in Dental Practice and how this relates to Health & Safety legislation.
  2. To know the requirements of NICE and the NHS contract
  3. To understand the principles of audit and how to undertake this in practice
  4. To be able to refer patients for orthodontic treatment using the Index of Orthodontic Needs
