DescriptionThe Dental Nurse Forum is entirely devoted to Dental Nurses and Student Dental Nurses. The Dental Nurse monthly meetings have been set up for Dental Nurses in the south region (Ox/Bucks/Berks/Hamps/I.O.W) to give Dental Nurses an ability to network and share ideas through open discussion, support their wellbeing, plus be empowered to progress and further their career if they wish to do so. This webinar provides dental nurses with practical knowledge and chairside techniques to effectively support minimally invasive dentistry, focusing on prevention, patient communication, and assisting with modern, tissue-preserving procedures. This talk is followed by an open forum and peer review discussion chaired by our guest speaker and the Tutor facilitating. GDC outcomes A,B, C & D.
Additional information

Debbie Withers started her career in dentistry as a Dental Nurse in 1996, working in general dental practice, and subsequently qualified as a Dental Therapist in 2008. Debbie has worked in a mixture of NHS, private, and community dental services. She is now a Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy, teaching undergraduate Dental Therapists, Hygienists, and Nurses. Debbie has completed a PG Certificate in Higher Education Teaching & Learning, an MSc in Educational Management & Leadership and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She also works in a mixed General Dental Practice working to the full scope of a Dental Therapist.
