DescriptionThis webinar is for those to understand the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence in dentistry. It will comprise a foundational overview of use of AI in healthcare before focusing on its specific uses and applications in dental care. The session will provide a realistic assessment of the current state of AI adoption and signpost you to external resources for further exploration and learning. Suitable for the entire Dental Team. GDC Outcomes C & D.

Dr Thomas Evans is a Specialist in Special Care Dentistry with a passion for personalised care. He holds the distinction of being the first dentist to be awarded a Fellowship in Clinical AI. During this fellowship, he collaborated with the University of Birmingham's AI and Digital Health team on projects including improving AI readiness for NHS organisations, AI health technology procurement and error reporting in trials utilising AI. He has a strong interest in leveraging technology for improving patient outcomes and care whilst ensuring responsible adoption and use.
