Description | This course provides dental professionals with essential skills in dental photography and intraoral scanning. Participants will learn the fundamentals of intraoral and extraoral photography, camera settings, lighting techniques, and image documentation for clinical and educational purposes. The course also covers digital workflows, including 3D scanning, and digital treatment planning. Hands-on training ensures proficiency in capturing high-quality images and integrating digital tools into daily practice. By the end of the course, attendees will enhance their ability to document cases, improve patient communication, and contribute effectively to modern digital dentistry. All participants must be registered with the GDC as a Dental Hygienist or Dental Therapist. This course is not suitable for dental nurses or clinical dental technicians. |

Speaker Bio Nida Malik is a dedicated dental hygienist and dental therapist with a passion for education and research. She currently teaches undergraduate students in dental nursing, dental hygiene, and dental therapy at the University of Portsmouth. In addition, she leads a postgraduate diploma in Advanced Restorative Dental Therapy with the Academy of Dental Excellence. Nida collaborates with Professor Subir Banerji delivering hands-on training, online tutorials, and expert-led sessions. She holds a master’s degree and is currently pursuing a PhD, further expanding her expertise in the field. Alongside her teaching and research, Nida also works in a dental practice under direct access, providing patient care independently. With a strong commitment to dental education, clinical excellence, and research, she plays an active role in mentoring and developing the next generation of dental professionals, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required for high-quality patient care |
