| Description | This course aims to provide the delegates with the skills and confidence to undertake anterior and posterior composite and amalgam restorations. Useful for clinicians who are either returning or new to NHS general practice in developing their knowledge, skills and confidence in cavity preparation and application of commonly used restorative materials in NHS dental practices. |
| Additional information | Debbie Withers Debbie started her career in dentistry as a Dental Nurse in 1996, working in general dental practice, and subsequently qualified as a Dental Therapist in 2008. Debbie has worked in a mixture of NHS, private, and community dental services. She is now a full-time Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy, teaching undergraduate Dental Therapists, Hygienists, and Nurses. Debbie has completed a PG Certificate in Higher Education Teaching and Learning and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. |

| Learning outcomes | Complete cavity preparations and restorations for anterior and posterior restorations. Apply appropriate moisture control - use rubber dam effectively. Evidence the systematic and accurate removal of simulated dental caries. |
