DescriptionBecome better equipped to provide feedback, support reflection, and handle difficult conversations. The session will be facilitated by one of our experienced clinicians from DoctorsTraining. We are a collaboration of doctors with a wealth of experience at a local, regional and national level in postgraduate medical education, coaching, appraisal, well-being and medical leadership. As a group we are passionate about the support and development of doctors by doctors. The workshops have been designed and are delivered by our faculty of clinicians who are experts in their field and inspirational trainers. We have the unique balance allowing us to share many years of real experience along with the latest updates and changes in training from our core team occupying key leadership roles in medical educations.

To provide participants with tools for providing effective feedback and handling difficult conversations.

Objectives

By the end of today you should be able to

• Demonstrate the ability to give constructive educational feedback

• Support individuals to reflect safely on their practice and critical incidents

• Appreciate the factors that can impact on an individual’s performance

• Have increased in confidence supporting a doctor where their performance is of potential concern

• Demonstrate increased self-awareness and understanding, from learning and feedback received, which will enable you to communicate with greater clarity and assertiveness.
