Qualified as a dental hygienist in 1999 from Cardiff University and has worked in both NHS and private services. Enjoys research and writing on various subjects. Has lectured on Cleft Care, Xerostomia and Dental Care in the Austere Environment. Has had numerous articles published and enjoys working with hygienists of the future (students).

16 years of working with challenging cases where communication can be difficult and understanding the problems of long term care of the apathetic patient.

I started working as a Dental Nurse in 2010, qualifying in January 2012. In 2013 I completed my first scope of practice and went on to do the other 2 scopes of practice and Dental Radiography in 2014. In March 2015 I completed my Oral Health Education. Day to day I work with a range of Dentists, hygienists and therapists and have worked for 2 years with an orthodontist. I have a flexible and fun approach to work and love giving oral hygiene advice to children.
Experience relevant to the topic:
I qualified in Dental Radiography with the IMECS course in 2014 and I take intra and extra oral radiographs daily. At my practice I help others that are completing the radiography course.
