08:30 Lymphadenectomy for Plastic Surgery Trainees Availability: Only 1 place availableTitle: Lymphadenectomy for Plastic Surgery Trainees (AM 30/04/2026)Venue: CADSIM Venue, Leeds, Leeds - Yorkshire and the HumberDate: Thu 30 Apr 2026, 08:30 to 12:30Course style: Theory and Practical SkillsCatering: Tea and CoffeeCPD: 0:00 hoursCost: No chargeDescription: This regional cadaveric simulation (CADSIM) course is designed for plastic surgery trainees to develop a strong, practical understanding of the anatomy and surgical techniques required for lymph node dissection in melanoma and skin cancer surgery. Following changes in melanoma management, completion lymph node dissection is no longer routinely performed for patients with a positive sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB), with many patients now managed with immunotherapy. As a result, trainees are exposed to fewer lymphadenectomy procedures during training, and those encountered are often more complex, typically performed for patients with clinically palpable or advanced nodal disease. This course aims to address this training gap by providing high quality hands-on cadaveric simulation covering the full spectrum of lymphadenectomy procedures, delivered by experienced consultant plastic surgeons in a supportive, small-group teaching environment.
