DescriptionThe Tiny Habits® Workshop introduces BJ Fogg’s evidence-based behaviour-change method, coached by Certified Tiny Habits® Coach Katherine Hickman. In this practical, energising session, you will learn how small, simple actions can create powerful and lasting change without relying on willpower or motivation. Through interactive teaching and guided habit-building exercises, you will discover how to apply the Tiny Habits® approach immediately to improve wellbeing, performance and everyday life.

Target audience

This course is restricted to trainee doctors and dentists who are taking time out of training or who have returned to training within the last 3 months. IMG trainee doctors may also attend within their first 6 months of working within the NHS. (IMG = International Medical Graduate.) Please only book if you meet these criteria.

Aims

To equip clinical professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to design, implement and sustain positive habits using the Tiny Habits® behaviour-change method.

Objectives
  • Introduce you to the core principles of BJ Fogg’s Tiny Habits® behaviour-change model.
  • Explain the science of habit formation and the role emotion plays in creating lasting behaviours.
  • Demonstrate practical steps for designing simple, effective new habits.
  • Guide you through the process of creating and refining your own Tiny Habits®.
  • Provide real-life examples and strategies to support building multiple habits simultaneously.
Learning outcomes
  • Understand and apply the Tiny Habits® method to create and sustain positive habits in daily life.
  • Design small, achievable behavioural actions that fit naturally into existing routines.
  • Recognise the role of emotions in behaviour change and leverage them to support new habits.
