About the “Foundation Cases” teaching series:

Delivering education to trainees has become more challenging during the COVID19 pandemic. As such the ‘foundation cases’ series has been set up to provide doctors as an alternative to face to face teaching. To be kept up to date about upcoming events visit our Facebook page.

Mandatory: Foundation Year 2

Understand how to approach the assessment, investigation, diagnosis and initial management of patients who present with headache.

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

1) Identify common and important differentials for adult patients presenting with headache

2) Understand essential questions you need to ask in the history

3) Decide which initial investigations to order

Initiate a management plan, including criteria for discharge

10. Recognises, assesses and manages patients with long term conditions
