Aims

Intensive Care: Assessment and management of ventilatory failure including high-flow nasal oxygen, non-invasive BiPAP/CPAP and invasive Ventilation on ICU

Objectives
  • To recognise the signs and symptoms of worsening respiratory failure
  • To increase your confidence in managing High-Flow and BiPAP/CPAP on the wards.
  • To introduce the concepts of intubation and ventilation on Intensive Care including basic modes of ventilation
