Aims

Explain the diagnostic process in the unwell child, and initial management in the primary care/emergency department setting.

Objectives

1. Improve confidence in recognising the actually unwell paediatric patient.

2. Understand and be able to apply a diagnostic process to the undifferentiated paediatric patient.

3. Know initial management steps for the patients presented in case studies.
