I am a Specialist in Dental Public Health with a clinical special interest in Paediatric Dentistry. I co-developed the Dental Recur-Brief Negotiated Interview, DR-BNI. I was the Principal Investigator of the NIHR-funded clinical trial, Dental RECUR, which demonstrated the efficacy of the intervention, DR-BNI in reducing dental caries in children. I am the Lead Dental Trainer for DR-BNI and have trained over 80 dental nurses to deliver this therapeutic conversation with parents of children at risk to dental caries.
