| Lecturer profile | Seasoned Dental Officer with over 10 years expertise treating special care adults and children. Wide range of skills demonstrated to treat special care patients, from general anaesthetic and sedation to cognitive behavioural therapy.
Current Chairman of the Welsh Committee for Community Dentistry which provides hands on knowledge and experience of the managerial process, in addition to planning meetings at Welsh Government to represent the CDS and advising the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Well-being and Sport on Oral Health and Dental Services in Wales.
Published journal articles on research within the fields of paediatric dentistry and dental acupuncture. Currently undertaking audit projects into dental sedation and antimicrobial prescribing. In addition to this, on the research panel of the Child Protection Systematic Review on Paediatric Oral and Dental Neglect.
Outside of work regularly teaches postgraduate courses on the management of head and neck pain using acupuncture.
