HEE invites you to a roundtable discussion with DCPs. The discussion will examine the findings of the review to date and invite you participate in the formative discussions around potential reform options to develop an education and training structure which can respond to the changing needs of patients and services within the context of the NHS Long Term Plan.

Aims
  • To promote increased understanding of the work of the Advancing Dental Care programme through engagement with DCP stakeholders
Objectives
  • To share with stakeholders the findings from the Advancing Dental Care Review, and to seek the opinions of Dental Care Professionals on their future education and training; and on the career development needs of this group of registrants.
Learning outcomes

By the end of the event, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the objectives of the Advancing Dental Care Review and the findings from the first phase.
  • Recognise the importance of stakeholder engagement and its value to the continuing ADC programme.
  • Explain the relevance of the workforce intelligence findings and how they relate to DCPs.
  • Recognise how the scope of practice of DCPs can be best utilised within the dental team of the future.
  • Analyse and evaluate current and future clinical and academic education and training pathways for DCPs, including innovative opportunities.
