Aims

To increase understanding of NHS pensions for dentists

Objectives

To outline:

  • the state pensions arrangements,
  • the integration of the tax regime with private pensions saving
  • how the NHS Pension Schemes work, including the importance of net pensionable earnings
Learning outcomes
  •  To have a better understanding of how the UK’s pensions system works, particularly the NHS Pension Schemes.
  •  To appreciate the importance of engaging fully with the Annual Reconciliation Report and working out Net Pensionable Earnings.
