Description | Patients expect to be treated in a clean and safe environment. The task facing the dental team is to have systems in place to prevent infections from being spread. Come and learn about the 'chain of infection' and how to avoid this within your practice. |
Additional information | Micro-organisms are the original social networkers. They have evolved to survive outside and move easily from one person and another.What are the risks for patients, dental teams and the wider community from infections that may be transmitted during dental treatment? Improving infection prevention and control practices is a key area in the Department of Health “Tackling antimicrobial resistance 2019-2024”.
The session will start at 6pm with a buffet meal allowing time for peer review and networking amongst participants. This will be followed by a lecture with time for discussion. Catering A selection of vegetarian/non vegetarian options will be made available, however please be aware that we are unable to cater for special dietary requirements such as Gluten Free, Nut Allergy, Vegan. We therefore suggest that delegates bring their own food if you have a specialist requirement. |
