Objectives

This course meets Enhanced CPD Development Outcome: A, B & C

To provide an overview of the processes of dental identification, age estimation and bitemark analysis, including some practical elements. To demonstrate some of the techniques used (including audience participation)

Learning outcomes

Dental staff will have knowledge to help ensure their practice procedures will not unduly delay a forensic investigation. To provide insight & knowledge of the procedures involved so that a qualified dentist/DCP could assist an investigation under the supervision of a Forensic Odontologist

 

Participants should have a clear understanding of the need for accurate and comprehensive dental records, and the value that such material affords to forensic investigation.
