Aims

To provide guidance to Educational Supervisors on engagement and feedback within the e-portfolio.

To show examples of what is a excellent feedback with good educational value and also ones that are not so good.

Explain how this will link in with Performance Review and reappointment for next year.

To present the recent Vicarious Liability court case and explain why not all Dentists have guaranteed VL cover.

Objectives

To gain insight into the use of the eportfolio and improve engagement to achieve best possible development of the Foundation Dentist.

Have examples they can emulate so feedback is of good educational value.

Understand the processes to be used as part of Performance Review and how it will link in with reappointment next year.

To explain what Vicarious liability is and what cover is required with respect to owner/associate educational supervisors.
