This training is part of the Greater Manchester Dementia Friendly Dentistry Award and is open to all members of the primary dental care team. At least one dentist from the practice needs to attend to complete the Dementia Friendly Dentistry accreditation.

Aims

To increase Primary Care dental teams ability to support patients living with dementia.

Objectives

Primary dental care teams will:

  • Review care and treatment planning for patients living with dementia.
  • Be able to utilise the dementia friendly dentistry toolkit in the dental setting.
  • Identify ways they can support patients living with dementia whom attend their practice. 
Learning outcomes

Participants will be able to implement changes in their setting to promote dementia friendly dentistry.
