DescriptionThe course is designed for dentists who wish to improve their skills working under NHS Regulations. Both clinical and non clinical knowledge will be covered. Ideal for dentists returning following a career break, or international dental graduates.

Registration from 9.00am for a prompt 9.30am start.

Cost

£500 with the option to pay in 2 instalments of £250

In the event of cancellation, refunds will be issued as a credit to the delegate’s Maxcourse account. Requests for refunds to the original payment card must be made within six months of the date of booking.

This is session three of a six day course, the course fee is for all six days so please be aware that no refunds will be given for any day missed.

  • Tuesday 18th August 2026 -Endodontics – Introduction to primary care endodontics
  • Wednesday 26th August 2026 - Basic Restorative Treatments - Amalgam/Composite Day
  • Thursday 27th August 2026 - Advanced Restorative Treatments– Crowns/Inlays and onlays/Bridges
  • Friday 18th September 2026 - Minor oral surgery – hands on day using pigs’ heads
  • Tuesday 29th September2026 - 3P’s – Periodontology/Prosthetics/Paediatric dentistry

Aims

To allow delegates to:

  • Refresh their skills on phantom heads, while being supported.
  • Review the theory of placing both amalgam and composite restorations both anteriorly and posteriorly.
  • Ask questions about placing direct restorations.
Objectives

To

  • Carry out several amalgam and composite restorations for practical development with support.
  • Allow practical application of the theory of amalgam restorations and composite restorations.
  • Have questions on direct restorations answered.
Learning outcomes

Delegates will be able to

  • Recall how to place composite and amalgam restorations on patients in practice.
  • identify their strengths and weaknesses in the placement of direct restorations and discuss this with their supporting dentist.
