This course fee is £125.00 and includes a practical session, sandwich registration and refreshments.

Places on this course are limited to 22 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The course closing date is 11th June 2025. Aims

The aim of this course is to support participants in effective and predictable cannulation methods for sedation using theoretical and simulation techniques

Learning outcomes

By the end of the event delegates will be able to:

  • · Demonstrate how to identify appropriate vessels and safely place a cannula including choice of equipment, site selection, patient preparation and post procedural management
  •  Explain the current best practice in cannulation techniques.
  •  Recognise common pitfalls and complications of cannulation
  •  Describe and demonstrate some practical tips to help improve the predictability of cannulation.
