SubjectRestorative Dentistry
DescriptionSession 1 Outline the procedure for a veneer, metal bonded crown, porcelain crown and bridge. The delegates will get to practice this on phantom heads. Session 2 Review some real-life examples of cases that have been seen by the presenter on the NHS, discussing treatment options and logic behind the definitive treatment plan. Peer review with colleagues to discuss what could be done. The use of staging to deliver cost effective care.

Session 1

To allow the delegates to practice advance restorative procedures on phantom heads.

To allow discussion on the different preparations for each different kind of crown.

Session 2

To allow delegates to work through examples of cases and develop their own treatment plan for a case.

Allow discussion of the options in peer review format.

To revisit staging and show how it can be used effectively to deliver cost effective NHS care.
