To understand the principles of designing a removable partial denture (RPD)

Objectives
  • To review the correct terminology used in RPD
  • To understand the commonly used RPD classifications
  • To be able to design a maxillary and mandibular RPD of variety of classification
  • To be familiar with RPD components
  • To be able to understand the clinical stages involved in making an RPD
Learning outcomes

At the end of this course, the delegate will have an understanding of the design concepts for upper and lower cobalt-chromium removable partial dentures and the rationale behind the design concepts. The delegate will be also able to understand how different clinical stages of making RPD are planned.
