Aims

To help to put together a robust protocol for carrying out examinations and putting together treatment plans

Objectives
  • Identify the required assessments and special tests that are required as part of a comprehensive dental examination
  • Construct a suitable template/list, to include all components of the examination and the stages to be carried out in a dental examination
  • Arrange the treatments needed into an appropriate order to construct a suitable treatment plan
Learning outcomes

By the end of the session, candidates will understand what is required in order to carry out a comprehensive clinical dental examination, (within their Scope of Practice) and be able to formulate an appropriate treatment plan.
