This presentation will openly discusses, the signs and symptoms of menopause, what happens to the body, things can impact upon the menopausal journey, the law relating to menopause, how to support people through their menopausal journey as well as considering male menopause.

The workshop will deepen the understanding around menopause and increase confidence in how people can support others through their menopause journey as well as signpost to additional support.

Objectives
  • Understand what menopause is and how it can affect work, home, and social life.
  • Promote a better understating about menopausal symptoms, triggers, and misconceptions.
  • Increase awareness of menopause in the workplace, and how to make reasonable adjustments.
  • Identify ways to support colleagues, family, and friends.
Learning outcomes
  • Improve confidence on how to get the menopause conversation started.
  • Normalise menopause conversations in the workplace.
  • Develop a menopause friendly culture and policy
