DescriptionThe course is aimed at trainees in Restorative dentistry, but it would also be of interest to StR’s in Endodontics / Paediatrics and General Dental Practitioners who encounter dental trauma.

It would also help prepare candidates for their exit examinations.

It meets the new GDC requirements for enhanced CPD.

The course fee for this event is £60.00 per person which includes a sandwich lunch and refreshments. A reduced fee of £30.00 is applicable for trainees / StR’s to attend. Please select the appropriate delegate rate during the online booking process. Places on this course are limited to 40 and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The course closing date is Friday 13th July 2018.

Aims

To improve the standard of knowledge that attendees have of dental trauma management. The course will be a lecture based study day with afternoon breakout sessions for case discussions. The overall theme is the transition of the dental trauma patient from Paediatric to Restorative dental services.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Describe the current management for traumatised teeth with open apices.
  • Describe the current management for traumatised teeth with closed apices.
  • Recall the rehabilitation options for teeth that have been lost to dental trauma.
