To consider common medical emergencies encountered in paediatric dental practice

Objectives

Identify, assess and manage paediatric medical emergencies

Revisit knowledge of basic life support with airway adjuncts and automated external defibrillator

Discuss systemic diseases which may affect paediatric patients requiring dental care

Consider case based discussions to aid learning and reflection
