Lecturer profileI have a combination of direct clinical experience in dementia care as a Registered Mental Health Nurse with up to date Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration alongside a rigorous academic approach to evidence and good practice. I have experience of working with people with dementia and their carers at different points in the disease trajectory in all caring contexts and environments. I am committed to improving the quality of life and death for people with dementia and their carers. I am a highly dedicated and motivated individual with the required excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to build upon successes to date.

Lecturer profileDr Evans is a GDP and Forensic Odontologist with 15 years’ experience in human identification.
He has conducted over 190 cases for HM Coroner and Police forces throughout the UK and abroad, including mass fatality events such as the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
Dr Evans acts as a consultant & expert advisor to the National Crime Agency, the Centre for International Forensic Assistance, and Kenyon International Emergency Services, and is the Odontology representative on the council of the British Association for Human Identification.

Lecturer profileConsultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Steve qualified in dentistry and medicine at the University of Dundee and subsequently obtained an MSc from the University of Oxford. He was appointed Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in East Lancashire in 1995, following initial training in Scotland and higher surgical training in Manchester. His main clinical interest is the treatment of oral cancer. He is also currently the Clinical Director for Cancer Services in East Lancashire, a past Training Programme Director for the North West and past Raven Tutor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons. For many years he has run the ‘Clinical Photography for Surgeons, Doctors and Dentists’ course at the Royal College of Surgeons.
