Consultant and Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry

Abs Casaus is a Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry at Leeds Dental Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at University of Leeds. In addition, he delivers private specialist paediatric dental care at RESTORE dental practice and BUPA Kelvin Lodge dental practice in Barnt Green (Midlands) and Gosforth (Newcastle) respectively. He graduated with a Bachelor in Dental Surgery degree in 2009 at the University of Birmingham and after gaining experience in general practice and the community dental service, Abs undertook his specialist training in Paediatric Dentistry in Birmingham. He has been a registered specialist in this field since 2016 and was awarded a Fellowship in Paediatric Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in 2018.
Abs is passionate about caring for anxious children and young people and often uses the latest video technology to make dental treatment more enjoyable for these patients. He has extensive experience in the provision of sedation as a means of facilitating treatment for dentally anxious children.
Abs also has a particular interest in dental trauma and his work in this field has been recognised Internationally through the award of numerous prizes from prestigious bodies such as the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry, International Association of Dental Traumatology and European Society of Endodontics.
Finally, Abs is a quality assurance consultant for the Immersify education app focusing on improving the delivery of remote undergraduate paediatric dentistry teaching.
