Lecturer profile | As a young dentist, I have used the early years of my career to work hard and dedicate my time to deliver high quality dental care, with an ambition of reaching clinical excellence. Since graduating I have had the opportunity to gain further experience in all fields of dentistry, whilst developing existing skills, and gaining the ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving patient base with different sets of expectations. I currently have an interest and enjoy providing minimally invasive restorative and cosmetic care, where my focus has been on educating patients, and guiding them to make informed decisions about their treatment. To broaden my knowledge and improve my skills of this field, I am currently completing a diploma in advanced aesthetic dentistry with ELEVATE. During my time on the course, we have had the opportunity to cover topics such as; patient communication and treatment planning, photography and record taking, smile design, occlusion, Smilefast, adhesion, anterior and posterior composite restorations, black triangle closures with BioClear, bonded onlays, vertipreps, indirect veneer preparations and cementation, toothwear, injection moulding, crown lengthening and periodontal surgery, implant restoration planning, and the planning/execution of ortho-restorative treatment plans. Since attending the course, I have been selected to help teach with the team on subsequent cohorts. In the next stages of my career, I endeavour to continue my desire for knowledge, to achieve my goals of being able to provide advanced, ethical and high-quality clinical care. I consider myself a safe, reflective dentist who is motivated and enthusiastic about delivering treatment which can achieve both aesthetic and functional results. I take pride in my work, and take care of all my patients, as I wish to help facilitate lifestyle changes which can shape a patients’ future, and generations to come.
