Lecturer profileAudrius Kiminius was born and grew up in Lithuania. He lost his hearing at a very young age, so his first language was Lithuanian sign language which he learned from attending deaf nursery and schools. He moved to the UK in 2010, where he had no understanding of British sign language, so he studied BSL levels 1-6 and gained his certificates in 2015. He qualified as a BSL teacher in 2017 and has been teaching ever since.
