Aims

To improve confidence in the restorative techniques needed to improve longevity and appearance of anterior composite restorations.

Objectives

This lecture/hands on session will look at the different techniques for the placement of anterior composites with a particular focus on multi-shade layered build-ups.

The use of silicone matrices to aid placement as shaping of restorations will be explored.

Finally, finishing and polishing of restorations will be discussed.

Leaning Outcomes

Candidates will have a greater understanding of how to adapt their current composite system to improve the appearance of anterior composite restorations. Adjuncts to this aid this process will also be demonstrated so that they can be implemented into everyday practice.
