Description | This hands-on interactive workshop has been designed to help DCTs who have an interest in applying for further training gain a valuable insight into what will be required of them and how best to prepare for success in these competitive scenarios, whilst also helping delegates to get the best out of their CVs, portfolios and interviews when applying for any role. |

Objectives | • To discuss career options and opportunities. • To optimise candidates’ CVs and portfolios. • To describe the application and interview processes for specialty training. • To give delegates hands on experience in specialty training applications. |
Learning outcomes | By the end of this workshop the delegates should: • Have critically appraised their own CV and be able to create a CV that will aid them in obtaining future jobs applied for. • Have critically appraised their own portfolio of evidence and be able to create a portfolio in line with what will be expected of them during the recruitment process. • Have a better understanding of the application and interview process for specialty training and feel better prepared to navigate this. • Have had the opportunity to practice and prepare for specialty training interviews. • Have greater insight into the range of career opportunities available as a dentist. |
