Aims

To describe how composite can be used to reconstruct worn anterior teeth

Objectives
  • Describe the aetiology of toothwear
  • List & describe the restorative challenges when rehabilitating a worn dentition
  • Discuss the restorative options available to manage the worn dentition with particular emphasis on the use of composite resin for anterior worn teeth
  • Describe how a wax-up and memosil index can be used to build up anterior teeth with composite resin.
Learning outcomes

Following the session delegates will be able to describe the aetiology of toothwear, describe the various treatment options available to manage worn dentition and better understand the limitation of composite resin when rehabilitating worn anterior teeth.
