Aims

To welcome and familiarise the FDs with the Education Centre and Dental Foundation Programme.

To inform the FDs of the ground rules applying to the DFT programme and inform them of the detailed course content and the aims and objectives of the DFT year.

To get to know each other.

Objectives

Be familiar with the Foundation programme and HENW paperwork.

Identify and utilise resources both electronically and within the Education Centre.

The FD’s will be clearly focused and have good sound knowledge of ground rules applying to the year both in the practice and on the day release course.

Learning outcomes

Trainees will be familiar with the Education Centre.

Know what is expected of them to complete the FD year.

Have a full understanding of the ground rules.
